Starting as a rich purple, the cocoon transitions to a vivid pink when temperatures exceed 30°C, signaling that the enclosure is too warm for your silkworms and should be moved to a cooler location. This visual cue makes it effortless to monitor and adjust their habitat, ensuring their well-being. Please note that it does not change colour when the temp is too cold, its primary purpose is to prevent the silkworms from being too hot.

With a lifespan of approximately one year, the cocoon is a durable and reliable addition to your silkworm setup. To maximize its longevity, keep it away from direct sunlight, as exposure to UV light accelerates deterioration. When protected from UV light, the cocoon’s life can be extended indefinitely, offering long-term value and convenience.
